The loss of two San Francisco-based accounts, Sega and Virgin Mobile, has led London-headquartered agency Leagas Delaney to sell its west coast office and move east to Manhattan. Says chairman Tim Delaney: “There are about four or five things happening and they're all in New York.”

The San Francisco operation has been acquired by its local management who will continue to work with Leagas on two key accounts – iconic footwear manufacturer Doc Martens and software games company nVIDIA.

The New York office has yet to be set-up but will service two new European accounts recently awarded to Leagas: Italy’s Ferrero confectionery and upmarket German beverages firm illyCafe. Creative and account staff will be hired locally.
