Andy Berlin has been appointed chairman/ceo of WPP Group's fourth ad agency network, Red Cell.

Berlin hitherto served as co-chief executive with Lee Daley, but is taking sole charge of the network after the latter's unexplained departure last week.

In addition to his Red Cell duties, he will remain in charge of the agency he co-founded, New York's Berlin Cameron/Red Cell, which WPP purchased in December 2001.
