Chicago-headquartered Bcom3 Group – the holding company for the Leo Burnettt and D'Arcy agency networks – has filed figures with the Securities and Exchange Commission indicating Q3 revenues of $456.5 million, five percent ahead year-on-year on the $434.3m posted in 2000.

Net income was $4.7 million for the quarter and $11.7 million for the first nine months of the year – a substantial improvement on the same period in 2000 when the group posted respective losses of $5.2 million and $63 million for the same periods. The red ink accrued from a one-time charge arising from the merger of the Leo Group with the MacManus Group to form Bcom3.

For the calendar year to September 30, Bcom3 achieved a revenue increase of 8%, rising year-on-year from $1.3 billion to $1.4bn.
