BBDO leads a field of one in the race to capture Mars Europe’s Mars Bar creative account, currently held by D’Arcy. All other runners have been eliminated.

If confirmed, BBDO’s appointment could be a double whammy for D’Arcy which may also see the $36 million Uncle Ben’s rice business slip BBDO-ward through its fingers.

A review for the Uncle Ben business was called by last month by the Paris office of Mars’ subsidiary Masterfoods, with BBDO and Grey Worldwide contending.
