Lloyds TSB, Britain’s largest bank, is reportedly having heart-to-hearts with a number of London-based agencies, while around adland’s parish pump word is that written credentials are cluttering the banking behemoth’s doormat.

Lloyds is also said to be in process of drafting a formal brief for its £18 million creative business, leaving an uncomfortable question mark looming over the head of incumbent Saatchi & Saatchi.

The bank will neither confirm nor deny an upcoming beauty parade. “We have not briefed any other agencies to pitch for the advertising, although our agencies are constantly under review,” said a taciturn spokesperson.
