DUBLIN: AOL Europe ceo Carlo d'Asaro Biondo has resigned after less than two months in the job. He is joining French company Lagardere Active Media as director general international.
His departure rounds off a year of bewildering change in the management suite which started with Philip Rowley in charge as president.
That mantle was handed to Karen Thomson in April. She was promoted from the role of ceo of AOL UK but stepped down last month following the sale of the company's internet access business across Europe. Biondo succeeded Thompson.
Rowley, who became chairman in April, will now step into the role of ceo "for an indefinite period".
