F-commerce essentially means selling stuff directly within Facebook, and it opens up exciting possibilities for brands. Third-party platforms have emerged that make it easy for retailers to integrate seamlessly into Facebook, and increasingly sophisticated mechanics are coming to light. For example, ‘DCP:Facebook’ allows people to buy something directly within their own news stream, even if they aren't a fan of the brand, and ‘PayvMent’ allows users to buy products from various shopfronts within Facebook via a single checkout. Retailers can also provide instant discounts if a user ‘likes’ their page.
