The research on selected regions of Poland by Wojciech Konieczny, in association with B.P.S. Consultants Poland Ltd., assumed the hypothesis that in the conditions of the developed radio market, if radio stations and their principals are concerned with the range among the average person, the control of the regular audience is of greater importance than the control of core listeners.

INTRODUCTION

At the end of 1994 Wojciech Konieczny, in association with B.P.S. Consultants Ltd., began the research of radio listeners based on a seven day diary survey. The research covered local radio markets, and researchers were commissioned by local public radio stations. As of now ten research projects of this kind have been undertaken in seven local markets, as some markets were researched more than once, for example Wielkopolska (1994 and 1996), the region of central Poland (1995 and 1996) and northeast Poland...
