The Futures Company unveiled the fourth wave of research from its long-running investigation into the effects of the economic downturn on the UK consumer at a briefing in London in November 2010.
Findings - based on an online nationally-representative survey, taken in September - suggest UK consumers have made radical behavioural changes as a result of the tough financial times.
