Another arm of our government subsidizes the growing of cigarette tobacco.

A third orders television to give equal time to those who want to reply to the advertising of cigarettes.

And then I read a little item in the New York Times: “The Agriculture Department has quietly extended for another year its subsidies to the overseas advertising of American cigarettes.”
