Every winter since 1998, the Sci Fi Channel premieres a new mini-series, such as Stephen Spielberg's Taken. Tin Man, the 2007 mini-series, was created as a re-imagination of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, offering viewers a familiar story with a modern twist. The goal of the Tin Man marketing campaign was to successfully launch the series to achieve ratings success for both the event itself as well as the network overall.
