The Whirlpool Corporation's "Making Your World a Little Easier" campaign focused on promises. The campaign symbol was a golden ring, which was featured in all television commercials and print ads. The company's advertising brochure for 1982 explained that the golden ring was a visual representation of the important promise Whirlpool was making to its customers, namely, to build and sell appliances of good quality and to stand behind them.
