The Pepsi-Cola Company and its longtime advertising agency BBDO, New York, made marketing history on February 28, 1984. During the Grammy Awards Pepsi launched a commercial starring Michael Jackson, the pop music superstar whose Thrilleralbum was the best-selling record up to that time.
