INTRODUCTION

This paper discusses a recent research project undertaken by Turnstone Research and Consultancy commissioned by the COI on behalf of the Department for Constitutional Affairs (DCA). The research explored knowledge, attitudes and awareness of the civil justice system among British ethnic minority communities, and identified the barriers to accessing justice among these groups.
