Judie Lannon: It looks as though we have a recession coming up. You have been with Cadbury through several recessions what are your expectations of this one?

John Sunderland: We are fortunate in the sense that what we sell is a full range of fairly low ticket goods. We give people comfort, condolence, indulgence, treats, so it doesnt matter if times are good or bad people will still want these rewards. We dont get the outrageous waves of good fortune of technology businesses telecoms for example...
