The Great Annual Retail Festival is just around the corner. Father Christmas has been at Harrods for months already. It is eight months (April) since we received our first mailshotted 'Christmas 2000' catalogue. Apparently, in parts of America it is now politically incorrect to wish anyone a 'Happy Christmas'. Instead, to avoid committing faithism you have to wish them a 'Happy Holiday'. Humbug, or what?
