What a Difference Advertising Makes

Introduction

This case study sets out to demonstrate the contribution made by advertising in the resurgence of a once successful but dwindling brand. It will show how advertising that broke the rules not only delivered a significant increase in sales, but also helped re-establish the brands credentials among the retail sector.

All this was achieved at a time when no true functional point of difference existed between the brand and the rest of the market.

In compiling a recent case for long-term, sustained investment in brand, we were able to support key marketing principles with numerous case studies sourced from WARC. It helped bring what could have been a relatively dry deck to life with recognisable brand successes from across a broad number of categories. It’s incredibly efficient to have such a wealth of insight in one place.
