Spanish viewers have extensive choice: four national channels, plus a number of subsidised regional and other options. All carry advertising, but viewers (and advertisers) are steadily gravitating from public to private channels in what is still one of Europe's most eventful media markets. Adspend is currently static, and all the channels seem to be losing money.
