Total adspend, based on 12 key markets, is expected to rise by 4.2% in 2016 to US$386bn, according to Warc's latest International Ad Forecast. The US is expected to account for a 46% share (US$178bn), following anticipated adspend growth of 5.8%, buoyed by political and sporting events. Worldwide, internet is expected to be the largest advertising channel in 2016, with adspend of $166bn - some $12bn greater than the forecast total for TV. Internet is expected to be dominant in half of Warc's 12 key markets this year, taking in more than 50% of all marketing...
