While thinking about the past and how it is relevant to the present, which will be my regular theme, I naturally looked back over the three decades that I've worked in agencies, and I made a horrible discovery.

I realised that in the thousands of client meetings I've been in over the years, I had never heard the words: 'You're the expert.'
