With so many brands adopting a content marketing approach to their digital activity, it's no surprise they're looking for ways to make that content engaging, intriguing and attention-grabbing. Promotions, special offers and reusing TV ads online are part of the solution, but brand storytelling is increasingly the de facto choice.

In fact, at Cannes this year, some major brands, such as Airbnb, Mars and Nestlé, stated that storytelling will be a key focus for them in 2016.
