All-pervasive digital technologies and hyper-connectivity will have a growing impact on peoples' lives in the near future. Developments such as artificial intelligence (AI) and biotechnology will drive significant social change – some of it positive while some of it may have undesirable implications. Connected World, an MRS conference held in London in July 2015, looked at the effect these developments will have on the relationships between consumers and brands.
