September 2013. Special Olympics Belgium asked us to raise awareness for the Special Olympic Summer Games, taking place the next year in Antwerp. Even though these Games welcome more than 2.000 athletes from 58 different countries, there is no attention whatsoever for these athletes with an intellectual disability. Moreover, the Special Olympic Games are unknown or often confused with the Paralympics.
