Rebroadcasting is a growing phenomenon in some of the countries of the former Soviet Union. Rebroadcasting refers to the availability of foreign radio broadcasts on local frequencies. These broadcasts can be provided either through direct retransmission or through placement of taped programming sent by the international broadcaster.
