Total global adspend amounted to US$512.2bn in 2013, an annual rise of 2.1%. Warc forecasts adspend to total US$541.9bn this year, representing 5.8% growth. The United States accounted for the largest proportion of adspend in 2013 – some US$158.6bn – followed by China on US$44.8bn. Of the key markets monitored, Brazil will demonstrate the fastest growth in ad expenditure this year at 12.8%, followed by India (11.3%) and China (11.1%).
