The most influential individual in digital marketing expects fierce and fast growth worldwide in online display advertising, with a total investment of $200 billion "within the next five to 10 years."

In a keynote address to the Interactive Advertising Bureau's (IAB) "Ecosystem 2.0" annual meeting, Eric Schmidt, Google's chairman/ceo - who will shortly be relinquishing his ceo role to become executive chairman of the company - said that the only obstacle to reaching and even surpassing such growth is "that it's too hard to get campaigns up."
