Machine learning as a tool for business is becoming so advanced that the human brain will soon struggle to understand just how smart it is, a senior Microsoft Europe executive told the Interact 2015 conference held in Berlin in May 2015.

Andy Hart, vp/Advertising and Online at Microsoft Europe, said the business challenge of weighing up data-driven evidence against the finely honed gut instinct of the expert was more difficult than ever – and the machines were winning.
